Lions, men & women, are social people. We like to be part of groups. We become Lions to do service in fellowship with others. It's just more satisfying to do good deeds with others. We also soon realize that we can get a lot more accomplished by being a part of an established group such as the Lions than trying to go off on our own to serve others. Helping where needed is our specialty, and helping local children is our passion. Over the years we have supported numerous children in the Community with such things as purchasing braces or equipment to make their lives easier & more.

In 2014 the Club was recognized as "Citizens of the Year" for valued contributions to the community. Our Club is a member of Lions Clubs International (www.lionsclubs.org) that has a world wide focus of improving communities around the world.

Key Purposes

  • To create and foster a spirit of understanding among the peoples of the community & the world beyond.

  • To Promote the principles of good government and good citizenship.

  • To take an active interest in the civic, cultural, social and moral welfare of the community.

  • To provide a forum for the open discussion of all matters of public interest; provided, however, that partisan politics and sectarian religion shall not be debated by club members.

  • To encourage service-minded people to serve their community without personal financial reward, and to encourage efficiency and promote high ethical standards in commerce, industry, professions, public works and private endeavors.

Though already a few years ago, here is a more recent photo of our Stouffville Club Members.
