Some ongoing opportunities are ...
Monday night Project Prep … the 1st Monday of the Month we will be at our home at Latcham Hall (8 Park Drive) from 6:30 pm – 9 pm working on various projects behind the scenes. Stuff that typically needs many hands … currently more than we have! As September 4th is the Labour Day Weekend we will skip it and meet Monday, October 2nd, 2023 we will be at our home in Latcham Hall from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm working on various projects behind the scenes.
The 1st Saturday of the Month 9 am - 11 am are community cleanups wherever the community needs some help. Check out our Facebook page for location details every month. We provide the bags, gloves and grabbers. You provide the labour! Scouts & Guides earn their badges. Together we can help the environment!
Location for the Saturday, September 2nd, 2023 cleanup is:
RUPERT PARK
(West Lawn & Rupert Ave)
During the summer months Every Wednesday we meet at Latcham Hall (8 Park Drive) 6:30 - 8:30 for Milk Bag Mats for homeless and shelters. If available we will also be prepping prescription pill bottles for shipment to Doctors without Borders.
Come out to learn about our environmental & social solutions, drop off your collections of milk bags, pill bottles, pull tabs, eyeglasses, stamps and pennies; and stay for an hour or two to help make milk bag mats for the homeless / shelters and prep pill bottles to be shipped to Doctors Without Borders.
Everyone is encouraged to come check out our initiatives and programs.
Yes highschool students need 40 hours of community service to graduate, but volunteering is much more than the hours. Its helping your neighbours next door or around the world; doing good deeds make you feel good. Offering a hand up and being part of the solution. You never know just what you could be doing or who you might find you meet while volunteering.
Come out for a family night of volunteering!
No registration required.
